Book with Confidence - Updated Cancellation Policy for 2020

Dear Guests,

This is Marie Monroe, the General Manager of Kantishna Roadhouse and Kantishna Wilderness Trails. I wanted to take this opportunity to address any concerns you may have about the potential impacts of the COVID-19 virus on your reservations with Kantishna Wilderness Trails this season. We share your concerns and want to update you on our updated availability and our special cancellation policy for the 2020 season.

Updated Availability

Our 2020 season will run from August 1st through August 18th.  We have reduced our availability due to decreased interest during the 2020 season. We look forward to operating a full season in 2021 from early June through mid September.

Cancellation Policy

Our new policy will ensure your reservations are held for as long as possible without serious penalties of any kind. This way, you can retain the flexibility to proceed with your visit when the virus is under control and travel restrictions are lifted.

This updated policy applies to all current reservations and for those wishing to make a new reservation for the 2020 season. Our adjusted policy moving forward for the 2020 season will be as follows:

  • Cancellations up to 15 days prior to arrival: Full refund, less $25 service fee per person (Note:  Final payments for reservations that are being held with a deposit will not be collected until 30 days prior to your visit, instead of 60 days prior.)
  • Cancellations within 14 days of arrival: Non-refundable; however, within 14 days of arrival, your reservation can be moved to the 2021 season with no service fees and no rate increase.
  • If a travel ban precludes your ability to travel at the time of your stay, or if we cannot operate our lodge due to COVID-19, we will issue a full refund less $25 service fee per person to cover a small portion of the administrative costs associated with cancelling and refunding your reservation.
